Over the past weekend, we rode up for the wedding of Jesse and Mallory Fain.

Newlyweds Jesse and Malory Fain

I was honored to be there when he proposed to her last year at DragonCon, and doubly honored to be invited to such a special ocassion.

It was a nice private gathering along the creek near the Kissing Bridge in the Unicoi state park.

Congrats to the newlyweds!

The Trip

Now since we were going, we made a little trip out of it, sampled the local grub and crashed in this awesome tiny house.  I’ll just put a little in here, you can check out the reviews I left on goggle maps for more.

First off was the Hush, Cuban diner.

Never in a million years did I expect to come across a joint like this in the backwoods of Clayton Georgia. Great stop after riding the twisties for four hours in the rain.

The tiny house that the Word Witch found was perfect for an overnight stay.

Acorn Creek Farm

This listing is over on Verbo if anyone is interested.

Then The Rusty Bike Cafe

We wrapped up the trip with a little wander through Helen before the wedding and hitting the road back to Raven Central.

And of course, I had to stop for a picture at this old gas station, cause it looked cool as hell.

Currently working on

Listening To

Writing Tip

Word count is word count. Don’t beat yourself up if you aren’t getting thousands of words a day. Even 100 words is a step in the right direction. Work with the time you have and roll with it. Instead of doom scrolling or playing games on the shitter, add a few more words for your daily count.

Every little bit helps.
