It was absolutely gorgeous this morning!

It’s funny, how life throws a wrench into the mix from time to time, and things change. It could be good or bad, but the main thing is you stay as we use to say, ridgedly flexible. Go with the flow of the change, adapt as neccessary, and make the best of the situation.
And That’s exactly what has happened to my office space over the years.
Extended clan have come and gone, turning what was becoming my sacred writing space into storage or another bedroom.
But having a place to hide away from all of the daily distractions is important, and found myself hiding away more and more in the shop.
At this point, I’ve not only embraced the fact that the shop is now my refuge from the mundane, I’ve activly started to set things up in that direction.

With the wood stove providing heat in the winter plus the Word Witch picked up a beer fridge a few weeks ago, it’s getting there. I’m also working on getting water set up so that not only can I wash up after working on something, but I’ll have water on hand to make coffee.
See, the perfect writing space, and you can’t beat the view with Veronica and Josie hanging out.
I still have several tasks to wrap up before my new office is complete, but at least it’s off to a damn good start.
Just need some more decorations though.
That all being said, I’ve been wrapping up a new Braxton short for It Came From the Trailer Park (Double Wide Volume 1)
I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend. We got lots of stuff done around the house, went on a ride and hike, plus I got to cook for part of the clan yesterday.

I’d say Josie is officially broken in at this point. Picked her up last June with just over 1,000 miles on here, and I’ve since crossed over 10k on her. Not near enough miles for my liking yet. But we’ll get there. I have several long trips coming up with the Word Witch, and if the weather holds, we’ll be riding.

Took the Word Witch on a ride after work Friday to the Shirley Miller Wildflower trail. Beautiful little waterfall at the end of thr hike, and well worth the ride. Just make sure if you ride out that you’re ready for a mile or so of gravel road.

The flock is doing well without Pip harrassing everyone, and we’re now getting 7-12 eggs a day.

The garden prep is in full swing. Yard debris loaded into the beds and the next step this week is a few truckloads of hardwood mulch to fill them, then cover with topsoil and let em rot over the next year.

Enough for today. Y’all take it easy, ride safe, and I’ll catch you on the flipside.
Keep your heads up and your pens sharp.
