This is one hell of a way to start the weekend. My next novel, Wildcat: Foreclosure of a dream is now out on Amazon!

This story is based in the Post-Apocalyptic Fallen World series by Christopher Woods that I fell in love with after reading the first novel in the series. I’ve always been a sucker for the Fallout game franchise and novels like “The Postman” and “A Canticle for Leibowitz“. I honestly think that it’s the infinite what if’s that keep me coming back to the genre as a fan and now as a writer. It was honestly like a dream come true to be asked to join in the fun of “This Fallen World.” Just being the hillbilly that I am, that’s exactly where my mind took me when I started to work up a story and run the what if’s about what would happen when it all fell apart and went to hell.

Did you know there was a Facebook group for the series? No? Then check it out here.

Here’s the Amazon Blurb:

On the run in a Fallen World…

Three long years after the world Fell, Wildcat Leander Calloway Toler, a deputized lawman—or what passes for one in this Fallen World—finds himself being pursued across the Appalachian wastes with the daughter of a wealthy businessman in tow. Trapped and outgunned, Leander learns that those who took his family and left him for dead in the chaotic days after the Fall have returned.

Infuriated by the bureaucracy of a corrupt system, Leander decides to take matters into his own hands and recruits a team of loyal companions. When they set out on a quest across the mountainous coalfields of southern West Virginia, though, they find out the previously two-bit biker gang has established an empire beyond what anyone could have imagined.

Military scout teams, mutant critters, and radiation zombies are nothing compared to the challenges and pain awaiting Leander once he finds himself in the heart of the Brotherhood’s compound, face to face with JalCom…and quite possibly the devil himself.

With the help of Evelyn, an Obsidian agent he finds in the depths of the JalCom lab hidden far below the Greenbriar, can Leander and his team of loyal companions find his family and stop the Brotherhood’s reign of terror?

Now, this may be a stand-alone book in the series, but it is by no means the only one. It is the 12th release in the series. Here’s the post from Chris Kennedy Publishing and the imprint Blood Moon Press.

The Fallen World

In a world not too far in the future, the Corporations have taken over. While many hoped that would lead to a world free of war, the opposite turned out to be true. Brush fire wars erupted among the Corporations nearly from the start, with each vying for power until they finally launched nuclear weapons at each other and destroyed the world.

In the new Fallen World, only the strong survive, and the weak do their bidding…or die. All that is good in humanity hasn’t yet been snuffed out, though–there still exist people who would bring order from the chaos. If they don’t die first.

Twelve books have been released in the “The Fallen World” series. They are:

  1. This Fallen World” by Christopher Woods (available here)
  2. Don’t Call Me Ishmael” by Chris Kennedy (available here)
  3. From the Ashes” anthology (available here)
  4. The Price of Freedom” by Chris Kennedy (available here)
  5. Farmer’s Creed” by Christopher Woods (available here)
  6. Call Me Mr. Smith” by Alex Rath (available here)
  7. Blue Crucible” by Benjamin Tyler Smith (available here)
  8. They Call Me Princess” by J.P. Chandler (available here)
  9. The Island of Dr. Laroue” by Chris Kennedy and Christopher Woods (available here)
  10. Relations” by Brisco Woods (available here)
  11. Pacific Shogun” by Jamie Ibson (available here)
  12. Wildcat: Foreclosure of a Dream” by William Joseph Roberts (available here)

And have no fear, this is not the only novel for Leander and the boys. There is a lot more to come. I’m currently working on my next Fallen World novel, “Dogs of War” that will solidify a few things hinted at in Wildcat.

I hope all of you that read the first Wildcat book enjoy it. Feel free to pop any questions at me. I’m always happy to sit a spell and shoot the shit. Have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend!

Keep your heads up and your pens sharp!
